Europe’s largest single-site sawmill is located at our headquarters in Plößberg. Almost 400 trucks deliver tree trunks every day. More than 700 employees process almost 2.2 million solid cubic meters of wood into slats, boards and beams every year. We then ship the goods: worldwide and to all continents, but also to internal production sites.

At the Pressath site, we provide planed goods for DIY stores and wholesalers from our roundwood. We employ over 100 colleagues on the 120,000 square meter site. In the next few years, we will be fundamentally redesigning here and introducing the latest generation of machine technology.

Our team of almost 100 people in Hermsdorf, Thuringia, gives its all to modern timber and commercial construction. The manufactured cross laminated timber and glulam products have a supporting role for roofs, ceilings and walls.

It’s a long way to the timber harvest. And the forest has to be taken care of afterwards, too. Our colleagues from Forest Service master this task with flying colors and accompany the entire process: from tree felling to aftercare. Because a healthy forest means a future.

Our new pellet production plant is located in Pressath. The plant went into operation in 2021 and is currently one of the largest and most modern pellet plants in Germany. We can use our wood residues economically and at the same time make an active contribution to climate protection.

Our new flagship is built in Hütten near Grafenwöhr. Under the “naturheld” brand we will produce sustainable wood fibre insulation for modern, ecological house construction. The new plant is not only an unique in Europe in terms of size. In areas like water treatment, light and noise emissions, we are setting new standards in Hütten.
